Description

Elk Rock State Park is situated on Lake Red Rock with Roberts Creek close by making it a popular destination for the avid fisherman. Historically the park was home to Native Americans until they granted rights to white settlers in 1842.

The park is named for the interesting rock formation on the property.

13 miles of hiking trails, equestrian trails and several campsites make this park a popular location for hikers, campers and horseback riders. Picnicking shelters are also provided and boating is a common activity on the lake.

The hiking trails at the state park are for multiple use so bikers are also allowed on them. The trails will sometimes be closed due to rain. Call ahead.
